Legal Compliance
As an IRS-recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating in the United States, Promote Africa complies with US regulations, paying particular attention to IRS guidelines for the disbursement of funds by a nonprofit organization.

Additionally, as a multinational NGO, Promote Africa observes international best practices and submits to the legal jurisdiction of each country in which we operate.

Because the Promote Africa model incorporates a diversity of operational models—from acquiring and exporting art and music, to expanding MFI capacity through a peer-to-peer lending network, to supporting small, community-based projects through a peer-to-peer donation network—we must navigate a relatively complex set of laws, regulations and practices.

Promote Africa pledges to address these challenges through legal due diligence and by implementation of relevant operational policies.
