Issues We Face - Music

Several pressing issues face musicians throughout the African continent. First, talented musicians frequently do not have access to quality recording hardware, studios, production centers, distribution networks, and international vendors, which places significant constraints on the potential for artist development.

Inevitably, this has led to the noticeable shortage of prominent African musicians, both domestically and internationally. As a result, western hip-hop and their copy-cat counterparts have moved into this void.

These environmental factors have shaped domestic music scenes across the continent that are frequently divorced from the political, social and cultural climate that is undeniably a strong source of musical inspiration.

Similarly, the foundations of many traditional forms of musical expression are eroding under the constraints of domestic music industries.

We provide a platform for the promotion of underrepresented forms of African music, whether our support be through album sponsorships, international film documentaries, feature stories on new artists, or access to international sales markets through our reseller capabilities.
