What We Do - Community Development
We are able to bring people together as part of a socially responsible
online community by promoting African music, art and literature.
However, the core of our business is not simply our products, but the
possibility of transforming our collective consciousness into the
creation of truly sustainable development efforts. Unless we reinvest
in the communities where we work, we will not be able to create
long-term economic opportunities that improve the quality of life for
so many.
For this reason, our community development efforts
stand alone at the center of our business model and distinguish us from
other for profit and non-profit providers of African music, art and
literature. Our development initiatives, ranging from small business
incubation units to the provision of low-cost, local construction
materials for low-income housing, are made possible through our
partnerships with the Namibian Community Skills Development Foundation
and The Namibian Training Authority. To learn more, click here.
